Last night was the free Rage Against The Machine Victory Celebration gig held in Finsbury Park - in honour of them winning the Christmas Number 1 Song last year - after the Facebook group got Killing In The Name Of to the number one, beating the X-Factor favourite. We had applied for our tickets a few months ago along with 40,000 other fans - who were all there in their numbers last night to see Rage live in concert.

We got through to Finsbury Park late afternoon, and grabbed something to eat and drink in the park before going through into the grounds. The support acts were Roots Manuva, who we watched from a distance, followed by Gogol Bordello who were really cool on stage. Had listened to them a bit before, but enjoyed watching them do their 'stage show'. And then came Rage...

It wasn't the first time I'd see Rage live in concert - the first was a couple of years ago in Germany at the Rock-am-Ring festival. But this time they rocked the crowd - one of the best gigs I've been to in a long time! I suppose everyone there were part of the Christmas Number One Campaign, so they definitely helped kick start the gig into action. And then as expected, after their gig, they had an on-screen array of messages while the X-Factor song was played, before Rage broke back on stage and finished off with the classic 'Killing In The Name Of'. What an amazing concert!
