On Friday night was the regular RAM Records night at Matter Fabric. The venue was moved this time round to Fabric, after news emerged a week or so ago that Matter was closing down for the summer due to financial reasons, which left everyone gutted. But before that, after work, met up with some of my ex work colleagues over at Cubana Bar near to Waterloo. It has a very Cuban look and feel to it, with appropriate décor covering the walls and bar counter. Very cool indeed.

From Waterloo, headed home, grabbed some food and pre-drinks, then we made our way over to Fabric for a night of drum-n-bass. The top three DJs were ones I've been wanting to see for a while, especially Noisia after their last set at Matter back in February I think, so really was looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, after quite a build up to Friday night - it landed up being rather disappointing compared to any of the previous nights at Matter. The music itself and the DJs were on top form - it was the club and the crowd their that ruined it for us. I'm guessing since Fabric is such a tourist club and being in central London, it attracted any randoms for a night out. So I guess until Matter reopens in the Autumn, that brings an end to the regular RAM Records night. A bit sad really.
