The past weekend was the second bank holiday for May, and it was just as welcomed as the first one was. After meeting up with Raul on Friday, I just spent Saturday at home, having a fairly easy day around the house. Mike was up from Tunbridge Wells for the weekend and the plan was to hit Clapham that evening. We had plans to first go by Loz's place for a EuroVision 'party' then move on, but landed up spending most of the evening there, which turned out to be a good laugh - especially with the poor UK coming dead last.

On Sunday, after a decent fry up for breakfast, we hit of cycle around Richmond Park and did a couple of loops there. I still had my road tyres on, so couldn't do much off road stuff, and didn't feeling like changing them before hand. But it was a fairly chilled cycle to work off the earlier breakfast. Then after getting back, showering, grabbing some dinner, we headed out down to Putney for a beer then off to the White House in Clapham for a good session there, leaving there not long before their closing time!

Yesterday was a chilled day at home, grabbed some breakfast and chilled out in front of the TV and watched a couple of DVDs. A fairly relaxing way to spend the bank holiday Monday, but needed after the busy past few days. Then last night, took a walk down to the Coat & Badge for something to eat, being too lazy to make anything at home. Maybe it was just being the end of a long weekend, but not overly impressed with the food down there, but easier than making something at home.

It has been a while since I spend one of the May bank holidays in London - usually it's a good excuse to plan a long weekend away somewhere. The original plan was to head over to Gloucestershire for the annual Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling event, but it was cancelled this year due to health and safety reasons, which is a pity. So instead, we decided to stay in London and enjoy the local sights and sounds. Will attempt the cheese rolling next year, which they promised will be back.
