After three and a bit years working at Sponge, I finally finished up there yesterday. As part of my farewell, I had organised a night out on Wednesday with everyone and all the ex-colleagues at the Carpenters Arms, just down the road from work.

It turned out to be a really good evening, with everyone old and new coming through for at least a couple of beers while the rest of us stayed on until the end - no surprise there :) We did then have plans to head out afterwards, but after making our way to the Roxy, there was a joint decision to give it a miss and rather head home. Even if some of us managed to get there via St Margaret's station, a bus and then a cab.

Yesterday at work I was presented with a Red Letter Days leaving present voucher, which I get to choose what day out I want - ranging from a track day in a Ferrari, to zorbing, sky diving, paintballing, sailing and so the list goes on. Looking forward to that, still need to decide exactly what I want to do.

Then after work, once we were done with the cake and the champagne, made our way over to the Hope for a farewell drink, followed by Icco's for dinner pizza and then the Duke of York, just down the road.

So that brings to an end my days at Sponge, but am looking forward to a new start at Quidco on Monday morning. Will be a bit strange starting from the bottom again and working my way up, but guess that's all part of the challenge.
