On Thursday evening, we did a house outing down to the Wahoo Bar in Putney for a celebration of Sophie graduating as a medical doctor this week, and therefore called for a night out down there, not before first grabbing a delicious take away from Meshawi.

Then last night went out to Shunt, underneath London Bridge. I had wanted to go there last year, but by the time I got around to organising it, they had shut down, unfortunately. But Thursday was their re-opening night, so booked tickets and went last night. Was just a really door venue and bar, something completely different to the norm of any other bar. Being underneath London Bridge among the arches, you had the slightly damp, underground smell in the air, and in all the arches, various artists (and contemporary art) were on display.

As described online: "Shunt is a former bonded warehouse underneath London Bridge Station and is a beautiful and massive space full of tunnels and arches. Entrance is via an unmarked door from Joiner Street which is a covered pedestrianised 'road' which runs through London Bridge Station. After going through this door, you follow the ramps down to the main part of the vaults."

Not sure why it took me so long to get there, but I was well impressed, and would definitely go back soonish, I guess as soon as they change the exhibitions and have something new on show. But still a very cool night!
