Last night was the second week running of midweek drinking, this time in Putney and with Claire who I hadn't really chatted or seen properly since she moved over a couple of weeks ago. My birthday night out in town didn't really count I guess.

We started off at the Citizen Smith, the relatively new bar at the top of the high street. It opened late last year, and still haven't been inside there, so though we'd give it a go. But some a weird mix between a classy cocktail bar come local pub, which I didn't really get, so left after the first one and headed down to the Whistle & Flute, which was also showing the football. Feel more at home in a proper pub.

Was a cool evening, and good to catch up with Claire over a few pints as well. Nothing too much planned for tonight, other than a bit of packing for Germany. This time tomorrow I'll be enjoying the sweet taste of German beer in one of their many beerhouses, perparing for the massive weekend that is the Köln Karneval :)
