On Friday, after having a pretty easy day at home, Keith and I headed off across to Southfields to visit some of his friends - Donna and Kezia, who very nicely cooked us dinner too, so that saved us having to do anything at all on Friday, on an already very lazy day.

Yesterday, Keith had organised a group dinner out in East London, near Aldgate East, as the Lahore Kebab House, which has some very good ratings online. It made a nice variation to a brick lane curry, even though it's just round the corner. Dinner was fantastic, with me having a methi chicken curry. Always a winner. After dinner, we made our way down Brick Lane and tried The Big Chill Bar, but was up to capacity with one in, one way. So gave that a miss. Instead, over to Soho to The Loop Bar near Oxford Street which was alright - but exceptionally quiet. Think it would be a good night if it wasn't the second night into the new year.

Today we headed down to the high street and met up with Carin at her friend Martin's birthday lunch. No idea who Martin was at first, but somehow cracked an invite for a pub lunch at the Duke's Head just by the river on Lower Richmond road. When walking out after lunch, the level of the Thames was the highest I've ever seen it - to the point it had flooded the street, which apparently isn't unusual and happens occasionally. But a first for me.

Keith heads back to Germany (very early) tomorrow morning, but was good catching up with him for a few days here. I've just booked my trip across to Bonn for the Karneval over the second weekend of February - so not to go until my next holiday :)
