And after a almost full couple of rain-free weeks, it started rain pretty heavily this morning - somehow mom and dad know how to time their holidays over here. Exactly the same last year. And as the phrase goes "it never rains but it pours" - everything seems to have happened at once this week, no time off.

On Monday, a crowd of us went to watch Avenue Q at the Gielgud Theatre off Shaftesbury Avenue. Will had managed to organise us a bunch of free tickets, which is always good news - and the show itself was incredible. A real good laugh.

Then on Tuesday I was off to Brixton to watch the Pixies perform at the Academy, with Gav, Dom and Carmen - except Gav booked a long weekend over to Amsterdam, forgetting all about the gig, so landed up missing it. The current tour is called the 'Doolittle' tour to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of that album. Unfortunately not my photos...

Wednesday night was half price movies down at Fulham - starting off with a beer and a burger at the Slug, followed by 'Inglourious Basterds', a war themed movie directed by Quentin Tarantino. Then last night we had a banquet at home. We had been talking at home about having a roast, and since Sophie was staying with us this week, she offered to cook us dinner, which we'd ever turn down. And so she cooked this massive feast of roast lamb (from her parent's farm up in in Lincolnshire) and just about every roast vegetable you can imagine. Delicious!

After all of that, there's not even time off to relax and cover, 'cos now it's almost the weekend...
