Yesterday we started off with a bit of walking around Killarney, and saw St. Mary's Cathedral as well as the traditional jaunting cars - light passenger wagons drawn by a single horse. After a good part of the morning spent around Killarney, we left there for Blarney, just over an hour way.

While the folks went into the Blarney Castle and Gardens, I used the afternoon to take a walk around the town of Blarney, as well as a visit into the Blarney Woolen Mills shopping center. Having previously visited the Blarney Castle, I didn't feel the need to kiss the old Blarney stone, again. Cork was our home for the night, which was just a short drive away. After checking into the lodge, we took a bus into town, down St. Patricks street and Corn Market street, and found our way to the Bodega Pub where we had dinner and an Irish coffee, with live classical Irish music being played in the background.

This morning we left cork and headed back to Dublin, passing through County Waterford, Tipperary, Killkenny, Laois and Kildare before arriving into Dublin and returning the car having clocked a total of 1,143 km on our roundabout trip. From there we returned into Dublin centre for some final shopping and a last visit to the Oliver St. John Gogarty pub for some live traditional live Irish music being played, and of course, some pints of Guinness.

That just about sums up the Irish trip - seemed to have covered a good portion of Ireland and seeing most of the important sights. The rest of the day is just waiting for our boarding and then of course our flight home. But in general, a fantastic few days over here - and not a drop of rain either!
