Yesterday was meant to be a day out at the races, more specifically, the Epsom Derby. However, after waking up to the pouring rain and almost gusting winds, the idea of sitting outside at the races on the grass embankment didn't sound quite as appealing as it originally was planned. What he were certain of though, was the protection again the elements (mainly wind and rain) that the Kings Arms (formerly the Larrick) would offer us while watching the rugby. Which was hands down a clear winner. So the better part of the afternoon was spent watching the Cheetahs only just lose to the British Lions, 24-26. And followed by England beating Argentina by 37-15. All that without getting soaked by the rain and a constant stream of cold beer within arms reach as well.

After an afternoon of rugby yesterday, today continued a similar trend but with cricket, and this time at the Oval ground as part of the ICC World Twenty20 cup. The first game of the two games was South Africa against Scotland, were SA won by 130 runs. Later on was England against Pakistan, where England won by 48 runs.

In all, two days of sport, two good games of rugby, two good games of cricket and one good fun weekend!
