Had a couple of gigs on this week, the first being on Tuesday, at Hammersmith Apollo, with ventriloquist Jeff Dunham and his collection of puppets. The most famous being 'Ahmed the dead terrorist' as well as others like Walter, Peanut and Jose Jalapeno. The show itself was excellent, starting off with an opening act from 'Guitar Guy' and then followed by the main show by Jeff and company.
Then following on from that, last night was the Danko Jones gig at Underworld in Camden. I had first seen them live at Rock-am-Ring last year, back when I had no idea who they were. So was cool to catch them again now, having more of an idea who they were. Even though it was in a fairly small venue, was still a good gig and atmosphere.
Without wasting anytime, I got in last night and had to pack my stuff for my weekend away in Wales. The plan is to leave this evening straight after work and spend the entire long weekend camping and cycling, and return on Monday. Despite it being Easter in Wales, I am hoping for good weather - considering it is a camping/cycling weekend. So we'll see...
