In what must be perfect timing, the day after the folks left London, winter decided to arrive. Last Sunday was really miserable - cold, wet, misty, overcast. Nothing like it was while they were here. So that was good timing. But what comes with winter, is cold and sickness. Which had me feeling rather out of it last week. Still didn't let it stop it.
On Wednesday I met up with Carol and Paul and others near St Pauls for a walk alongside the river to check out the Drift08 art display. Basically a bunch of artists created some art on, next to, in, near or by the river. And it's just a free to all display. A bit random, but quite cool to check out.
Thursday night was a fairly big night out with the work crowd. A few people had been made redundant the beginning of last week, so we used Thursday night as a 'farewell' night and a few drinks. Then without skipping a beat, Friday night I met up with Gav and crowd out in Greenwich. That night started off fairly slowly, with the beer tasting more like sharpened razorblades, but one jagermeister later, that all changed. Don't think I've really had a proper night out in Greenwich, but was good fun.
Saturday was yet another art viewing day. This time was the Artangel Seizure display near London Bridge. To explain, I've stolen an extract off the website: "Artist Roger Hiorns works with copper sulphate solution to effect the growth of bright blue copper sulphate crystals over objects and materials. Seizure continues Artangel's long tradition of transforming urban housing into large-scale immersive works of art."

Saturday night was a fairly good clubbing night out in town. Went through to Sin, in central London. It's one of the only rock and alternative clubs that I know about in central, and got an invite from Vania as part of her leaving party. So thought it a good idea to head through and compare it to the Doors. Was pretty good, would definitely go through there again! Then yesterday I woke up feeling really lazy and needing to get out and about, so a good cycle out towards Richmond and Teddington did the trick.

Hopefully use this week to get back into some squash and cycling again. Last week wasn't the best of weeks for healthy living, but was good fun for sure.
