After an overnight drive from Valencia, we arrived in San Sebastian around 6am. With not much sleep on the bus, we headed straight for Giulz's place and got a few hours nap. For lunch, we got ourselves a Carolina, a bottle of local cider, and headed over to the marina alongside La Concha beach... had only waited a year for this :) After a day around the beach and town, we decided to hit the Cideria that night. After a night of amazing food and all-you-can-drink cider, we landed up back in the old town for a while before heading to sleep.

Saturday morning Tom left to fly back to London. After the rest of us had had something to eat and a coffee or two, we decided to head to the nearby town called Pasaia, or 'Pasajes' in Spanish. It's a town and municipality about 5km east of San Sebastian, typically a fishing community as well as a commercial port, and lies between the mountains Monte Ulia and Monte Jaizkibel. A beautiful little town, hidden away from the busy tourist attractions of the rest of the Basque country. We spent the better part of the afternoon there, as well as lunch and a walk partially up the lower parts of Monte Ulia.

Back at Giulz's place, a game of Three Man was definitely in order. After a substantial amount of Kalimoxo, a few hours of Three Man including some ridiculous rules and even more ridiculous photos - we again descended on the old town for a pub of pub and club hopping.
Sunday morning was when Haig and Will left to go back to London. I could've left then, but decided to spend the day on the beach and in the sun instead of in London, which was great. Landed up spending a good part of the day around town and on the beach, before having to pack my stuff together and heading off to Bilbao airport.

My flight was initially scheduled for 19h00 - but with rain and other weather delays during the day, we eventually took off around 22h00 - after managing to waste 3 hours at the tiny Bilbao airport. And there's only so much coffee you can drink. After arriving at Stansted just before the last of the trains, I managed to get a train into Liverpool Street, then a couple of buses home... and got into bed around 3am. Not exactly the most fun seven hours I've ever had. But that aside, definitely one of the best holidays I've had in a long time :)
