Yesterday was day 6 of the Wimbledon Championships, and we had managed to get 2 tickets (through the ballot) for court number 1 for the day. Luke and I headed off yesterday morning around 10ish for hopefully a good day of tennis. Compared to last year, we really had an awesome full day there. Last year, the one day I went, must've seen maybe 10 minutes of play and two and a half hours of rain and court covers. This year, we saw a full day's play and the only covers we saw were when we left and they were covering up the courts which were done for the day.
The first game we partly watched was Dementieva vs Dulko, on court number 2. Then moved over to court number 1 where we saw Venus Williams beat Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez. We then saw Jamie Murray winning his doubles game on court 1 as well. Good atmosphere for that game, obviously.

Between matches, we generally walked around the outside courts, watched some of the centre court games on Henman Hill Murray Mount, and soaked up the sun and the somewhat better weather. After the tennis, which ended around half nine, we met up with friends of Luke's who live in Southfields for a few post-Wimbledon drinks, before catching the night bus home.
