Great craic, as they say in Ireland. Was really a good few days over there. Flew out of Gatwick on Friday afternoon and straight into Dublin. From there, we hired a car and headed down to Cork for the night. A little bit of sightseeing the next morning, including some of Cork city and of course, Blarney Castle which also meant kissing of the Blarney Stone.

From Cork, we drove up north through the town of Limerick for a lunch break, and then headed off west along the coast through County Clare which was your typical Irish country side - rolling green hills, sheep and cattle here and there, overcast weather and a constant gentle rain. Very Irish. Along the coast we stopped off at the Cliffs of Moher, a region of sheer cliffs along the coast line. From there, off to Galway for the night.

Walked around Galway a bit that morning, and then off to Dublin, our destination for St Paddys Day. Once in town, we dropped our bags and headed for the Dublin pubs. That party didn't stop until the very early hours of the next morning, and eventually got in at around 7am.

The actual day of the parade was good weather for a change, and managed to catch most of the parade, even with an hour or so of sleep :) Apparently 630,000 people were there to watch. After the parade, we landed up at the C&233;l&237; M&243;r (Irish Dancing) where the streets were filled with people dancing to traditional Irish music and of course, some drinking here and there :) If anyone knows how to have a good party, it's the Irish.

Yesterday involved a bit of time in town, a visit to the Guinness Storehouse and then, unfortunately, to the airport and back home after an awesome 5 days in Ireland!
