Thursday I had originally planned to visiting the SAB World of Beer, but due to the incompetence of some people in this country, they weren't open. And that's after emailing them last year and being told they'd be open from the 2nd. Anyway, we decided to visit the Apartheid Museum by Gold Reef City. Interesting, and well laid out I thought. Most of it was before my time, but was good to see how the country was prior to '94.

I was meant to be away this weekend at the top of the Berg, but due to my useless insurance policy, I decided it best not to go. So Friday was a rather miserable day spent at home, wanting to rather be half way up a mountain than sitting on a couch :( Oh well... next time. Saturday we went out to the Vaal for the day in the hope to go on a river booze cruise - but they were only doing them on Sundays. Have to save that, too, for next time :)

Otherwise went out to Andrea's place on Saturday night and met up with her and Pete and Charisse for beer and pizza. Sunday was just at home, and Monday was out with Marjorie for dinner, then popped into Linda and Brendon's place afterwards. Wasn't quite the hiking weekend I was wanting, but was ok in the end. There's always next time for these things!
