And the festivals never stop. After the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh we get the Get Loaded In The Park festival and then the Nottinghill Carnival within 2 days. And I thought weekends were meant to be about resting, or taking it easy! I guess you're only young once...

Yesterday Tom came up from Wimbledon and met up with Luke and myself and after a few beers headed over to Clapham Common for the Get Loaded festival. The weather had picked up and it was an awesome day to be out and about. The highlights of the day were The Automatic (Whats that coming over the mountain?) and 2ManyDJs who were really really cool. The Streets headlined the act, but they weren't great at all, which could've been expected.

Today was the Nottinghill Carnival... a massive carnival through the streets of central London. It's got something to do with the Jamaican people or the Carribean people, I'm not that sure - but there are huge floats on wheels and massive sound systems and plenty of beer through out the day. I'm sure there's some important reason behind the parade, but involves about 2 million people watching - the largest in Europe, and second in the world to the Rio Festival.

There were quite a few of us who were there: myself, Tom, Anna, Luke, Haig, Tarryn and Chris - was quite cool being there in a crowd. Towards the end, we missioned off to try and find Gav which turned into a disaster - negotiating with a thousands of people just not that easy. So we stopped for food and ate goat, which was a lot better than I expected, then came home and must've gotten in a couple of hours ago :) Been a great past few days!
