Rain. Drizzle. Dark clouds. Umbrellas. Yip, that's Wimbledon :)

So we decided to try get down to Wimbledon. Most of last week had rained, and then yesterday was actually a decent day here, however, it was a rest day at Wimbledon so no play took place. Hoping that the "great" rain-free weather would continue, Luke, Kate and I had organised to meet down there at 17h00 this evening. So I finished work early and rushed down there.

The queue was not too bad actually. Stood for about half an hour before we got in. That's when the rain started again. But I guess that could be expected. It didn't last - was on and off, and after walking around a while they resumed play again.

We managed to get to see the end of Wayne Arthurs game, and thats when the rain came down again. But I guess there's more to Wimbledon that just tennis - like the rain. And the cold. And the strawberries and cream. And some beer :) Anyhow, we spent a while around there and after a huge down pour later on, the day's play was called off and we decided to head home.

But at least I've now been to Wimbledon. Hopefully next time will be a bit more successful and get to actually watch some tennis!
