We went on Thursday night for farewell drinks after work at the Hawley Arms in Camden. It wasnt too much of a crazy night, considering we still had work on Friday morning. We landed up being there a few hours and left in time to catch the tube home. None of us were keen to catch a night bus home.
On Friday night, I managed to briefly see big Al and Roly in town before they left for their skiing trip. Had hoped to see them before, but didnt work out - so at least saw them a few minutes. After that, went into Camden Town to some gothic pub and met up with Cathy and a few of her friends. She's just in London for about 3 weeks over Xmas and New Years - so was good to see her again!
Yesterday I went into Wimbledon to do some Christmas shopping and then met up with Haig. We planned on going for a few quiet drinks in Wimbledon and meeting up with a few of the people Haig knew at the various bars and pubs. First we went to SW-nineteen (a pub in Wimbledon) then another one up near Wimbledon Common (a good 20 minute walk away). However, that night took a turn for the worst best after a few drinks and a few shooters. Landed up a lot better and bigger night than we thought.
Today I battled to wake up, but eventually got going. Heading off with Tom down to Horsham a bit later for Christmas day with him and his family. We were hoping to come back on Boxing Day but there aren't any trains running, so we'll come back on the 27th instead.
Hope you all have a very merry Christmas, with lots of presents, happiness, food and booze :)
