Thames Festival... really cool. Chuck and I went out there and met up with Gav and Fran. We headed out about lunch time and got home around 11pm. It was just a massive festival around the Thames in central London - Waterloo, Embankment, Westminster area. There was hundreds of stalls selling food, drinks, games, toys - almost everything but beer which was annoying. We spent the day walking around - eating, drinking and talking photos. And eventually found some beer outlets. Took a while though.

From 7pm, they had a carnival through the streets - very much like the Nottinghill Carnival except a lot smaller. There were floats, trucks playing music, people dancing - all across the south bank, over the bridge and then along the north bank of the river.

Thames Festival Fireworks

After the festival was over, they had a really awesome fireworks display, wasn't long, about 15 minutes I guess but was amazingly impressive. I don't know if "amazingly" is actually a real word. If someone out there knows - let me know. Thanks.

After the fireworks we all headed home. Was a cool day out in town with a difference. Not too much planned for this week yet! Tuesday is payday... at last - so damn excited about that. Gonna have money again. That's all the cool stuff for now. Later...
