My last night in Barcelona and also, my last night in Europe for a little while. Tonight ends my crazy two and a half months of travelling. And they've been awesome.

After the Contiki ended on Thursday, I had planned on staying in Barcelona for another few days before flying back to London. There were another 5 people from the tour also staying on which worked out well for all of us. So planned it so that we would all hook up and see whatever it was we wanted to see, together.

On the Wednesday, we took a bus ride out to Camp Nou - the football ground of Barcelona FC, and did a tour around the stadium. Wow. Ridiculously massive ground and so impressed with it. Makes me think of SA's ability to host the 2010 games :)

On Thursday, we ended the Contiki, said all our good byes and made out way to the hostel I was staying at, Kabul. Its rated as one of the better hostels in Spain and heard a lot of good things about it from numerous people. I was staying in a 20 bed shared room so that was interesting. Quite a few Americans and Canadians (same thing really) in the room who I sort of got to know.

On the Friday, we took a walk through Park Guell - the park designed by Antoni Gaudi. Really interesting architecture and awesome views of the city. Was a good day out and walking around.

Saturday we heading up north along the coast of Costa Brava. Caught an overland train about 2 hours north of Barcelona to Salvador Dali's house. That was interesting - he was one wacky artist. Im not big into art but that guy was on some serious drugs or something Im sure. The weirdest pieces of art. Enjoyed it - was cool. We then caught another bus to Roses, right on the beach front and walked along there for a bit before catching a bus and then a train back to Barcelona.

That night we did the clubbing thing and partied the night through at Port Olympic - the area where most of the clubs are. They have one long strip of about 10 clubs - all free entrance - all different music so you can jump from club or club when a crap song comes on. Got in about 6 or 7 that morning, cos again, the clubs only start around midnight.

On Sunday, everyone who had stayed on left to go their own seperate ways. There wasnt much left I wanted to do except try see a bullfight if I could. I knew there was one on in Barcelona that afternoon at 18:30 so I headed there to get a ticket and was quite easy. I cant say I really enjoyed the bullfight, I knew what to expect though, but glad I went to see one - probably wouldnt go to another. Its such a big part of the Spanish culture, thought I had to see one before I left.

So thats it... here I am ending off my weeks of travels. Hopefully I'll see Europe sooner than later and I'm sure Europe's looking forward to seeing me again (dont ask what that means - just sounded cool while I was typing it). Cheers...
