The last couple of hours on this crazy party island. Just had to add my update from Ibiza on the site.

The whole party started off in our last night in Granada where we all went out to a local club called Mae West. A really cool club in fact. They had a lot of variation in their music, from local Spanish music, or commercial dance stuff or everybody can sing along stuff and a whole lot more than you can just have a good party to. Was a lot of fun. Got back (again) just in time to pack and make it to the bus. The bus took us to the coast and then onto the 2 hour ferry ride to the island of Ibiza.

That night we met up with everyone at midnight and headed into the old town for pre-drinks. Now the idea with Ibiza is you drink before you get to the clubs cos you just cant afford it otherwise. The average price to get into a club is between 40 and 50 euros (about R400 or so). And thats just one club, if you wanna go elsewhere you gotta pay there as well. Then the price of drinks. A beer is 10 euros (R85 or so). A small 200ml bottle of water is 8 euros (R65 about). You just cant afford to drink in the club. So we would buy booze from the supermarket, drink as much as you can beforehand and then goto the club.

Now the clubs: they're just amazing. Cant describe them here. Massive and awesome lighting. And everyone going crazy inside. Brilliant. The first night we went to El Divino which was alright - didnt enjoy it all that much but still had a kick ass party there. The next day we slept most of the day and that evening went to Cafe Del Mar up north on the island. Its a sunset cafe on the beach which was awesome. At sunset they have beach performers with fire sticks and shows etc. Great stuff.

That night we went to Space, one of the super clubs of the world. Capacity of 5000 people and Im sure it was full. Space was in my opinion the best club we went to, and the best club Ive ever been to probably. Had an awesome time. Again, only gets going from about 1am and then we left around 7 or 8 in the morning to go back and sleep.

That afternoon managed to get to the beach for a couple of hours before hitting the club Pacha where Roger Sanchez was playing, for anyone who follows house music. That night was awesome, better music than what Space played but still enjoyed the previous night more. Oh man, what a party.

Now we're waiting for the bus to take us to the ferry, where we have an 8 hour ferry ride to Barcelona. Joys. Hopefully get to sleep the whole way.

So looking back, the whole of Ibiza was literally one big party and a crazy three days of partying. Loved every minute of it and will hopefully come back next year in the summer if I can. Something everyone's gotta do at least once!
