Yesterday we left and headed for the country of Austria. Its a lot more scenic and beautiful than I pictured. The scenery and views that we saw just from within the bus were awesome - not really possible to take photos with the window of the bus in the way. After a few hours in the bus, we arrived at our white water rafting hut. There we got changed into our websuits and life jackets etc and had a brief overview and training on how to actually white water raft.

I had a wicked time down the rapids. It really was kickass. We didnt hit any crazy rapids, just level 1, 2 and maybe 3. Rapids are graded with 1 being the easiest and it works its way up. I got an official photo - could obviously take any with my camera.

This morning we had a chance to sleep in, didnt have to wake up ridiculously early - so that was nice. We met downstairs for our mountain biking outing. Once everyone had received their bikes and their helmets, we were good to go. We started off with an easy, through the country ride and then it started getting more difficult. To cut a long story (and ride) short, we following a mountain stream for about 2 hours upstream where we stopped for lunch at a nice little mountain cottage. Needless to say the ride down kicked ass.

We had the afternoon free and I decided to head up one of the cable ways to the peak of one of the mountains. We were able to keep our bikes for the afternoon so I cycled into town and just left my bike leaning against the wall. No padlocks. No chains. No locking it up. And after going up, taking a few photos, and coming down - the bike was still there, exactly as I left it :)

Well that sums up Austria, its been amazing. My favourite country thus far. I would definately come back here again. Well, tomorrow its off to Germany and a German beerhall. Cheers!
