Leaving from the Chateau, we headed south, stopping briefly in the town of Montelimar - which is famous for its nougat which I rather enjoyed. We arrived at our campsite in the French Riviera, just enough time to change into more formal clothes for our big night out in Monaco.

Before heading to Monaco, we got to spend a few hours in the city of Nice... which is really nice. Sorry, that was poor. But seriously, an amazing city and awesome water front - if you exclude the fact that they have pebble beaches, not proper sand beaches. But otherwise, really beautiful. A few of us walked up the chateau which gave us almost an aerial view of the city. Afterwards, we walked thru the city and found a place to eat dinner.

From Nice, we drove through to Monaco and got dropped off under the bridge famous from the Monaco Formula 1 grand prix. That was cool. After a few photos, we all walked up to Monte Carlo Casino. The cars parked outside were so impressive, each car costing around 100,000 pounds or so. Awesome. However, the actual casino wasnt that great. I expected more to be honest. I suppose its because its not as cheesy as what we have at home. No flashing lights, no bizarre slot machine sounds, just very straight forward and proper. Boring in some way, but I guess it is an upperclass casino.

After the casino, we headed back here to the French Riviera. We all heading down to the pub in a while to play some drinking games. Should be good. Tomorrow we're off to Italy... looking forward to it!
